Orrery Model Rotating Brass Gears Stone Planets
€34,99
Planetary motion is hard to picture—until now
Visualize planetary orbits in motion — 9 planets including Pluto, 28 moons, exposed brass gear trains, without relying on diagrams alone.
Why is this orrery perfect for you?
✔ See planetary motion in action: Follow the Moon as it orbits Earth and Earth as it circles the Sun. The mechanism also demonstrates the difference in orbital speeds: Mercury completes an orbit in about 4 seconds, while Pluto takes about 4 hours.
✔ Detailed brass and stone construction: The Sun, planets, and moons are made from fine semi-precious stone spheres. Exposed solid brass gear trains reveal the mechanism beneath the rotating planets, housed in a twelve-sided oak case on 12 brass feet.
✔ Finished with celestial details: An engraved brass calendar and zodiac ring sits above the oak case on 12 brass columns. A removable solid brass hemispherical armillary sphere crowns the display.
