The Planets’ Motion Finally Makes Sense at a Glance
See planetary motion in a rotating display — 9 planets including Pluto, 28 moons, stone spheres, visible brass gears
Why This Planetary Display Is Perfect for You
✔ See planetary motion in action: The rotating display demonstrates how the Moon orbits Earth as Earth moves around the Sun, making the mechanics of celestial bodies visible.
✔ A detailed nine-planet display: The model includes all 9 planets, including Pluto, and 28 moons. Its mechanism shows Mercury completing one orbit in about 4 seconds, while Pluto’s takes about 4 hours.
✔ Visible brass gears and refined materials: Fine semi-precious stone spheres form the Sun, planets, and moons, while solid brass gears remain visible beneath the rotating display. The gearbox sits in a twelve-sided oak drum on 12 brass feet, topped with an engraved calendar and zodiac ring and a removable brass armillary hemisphere.
